Jeannette lives in Fátima, Heredia, where she worked for many years in the National Institute for Cooperatives before joining Intercultura Heredia in 2003 as a host mother, teen chaperone and then cooking teacher. She studied at the Professional Culinary Education Institute, and she believes that cooking is an art in which there is always something new to be learned. Jeannette’s hobbies are cooking, dancing, and exercising, and meeting new people from other cultures. Her warm and caring personality (and of course her excellent food!) make her a favourite with students.
“Jeannette is so kind and loves to chat about everything Costa Rican! She is an amazing cook, and you will learn lots of really cool recipes that you’ve never heard of before and are super easy to make. Our students love her!” – Portugal high-school group, 2022
“Her food is delicious, I learned all kinds of things that I am adding to my own cooking, definitely recommend this activity.” – Lindsay
