Farid stammt aus der Provinz Guanacaste und ist bekannt in der folkloristischen Kunstszene und berühmt für seine Präsentationen von “Retachilas” und “Bombas” (traditionelle, humorvolle Poesie). Er trat schon auf vielen folkloristischen Festivals im ganzen Land auf, wurde mehrmals im nationalen Fernsehen gezeigt und ist bei landesweiten Kulturinitiativen aktiv. Farid studierte Englisch und Spanisch als Fremdsprache an der Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica und arbeitete mehrere Jahre als Lehrer für das Bildungsministerium (MEP, Ministerio de Educación pública), bevor er als Spanisch Lehrer zu Intercultura kam. In seiner Freizeit treibt er neben seinen kulturellen Aktivitäten gerne Sport, reitet und verbringt Zeit mit seinen Freunden.
