Romie was born in Canada, but her family is from Haiti. She studied Business Administration, with a concentration in Management, and worked for a few years in aerospace logistics before moving to Costa Rica and joining the Intercultura team in 2014. Romie worked in various departments of the school, but continued to travel, then founded her own socially conscious travel company and returned to Montreal where she continues to work with Intercultura in translation. Romie is fluent in French, Haitian Creole, English, Spanish, and Portuguese and is currently taking Russian classes. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and playing various sports, including her favorite, horse-back riding.
